A major factor in the Spa Industry in Southern Florida, Donna brings a wealth of experience to her profession. She studied Sports Medicine at Salem State University in MA but changed direction at the advice of a professor who told her she was too “girly” to be a personal trainer. Shocked at the time, she took her massage training to the fullest and now consults, conducts staff development, directs and manages. She’s using her natural talents to insure professionalism in the field.
Donna was born and raised in Haverhill, MA. She originally followed a boyfriend to Florida planning to stay six months. That was ten years ago and many relationships later till she met and married her true love Grant in 2006.
Her background in dance includes ballet and jazz. In 1996 she was part of a dance team that performed in the Olympics in Atlanta but her dancing stopped then and she has really missed it. It’s why Donna took up Ballroom briefly last year and was so excited to take on the Hollywood Fantasy challenge. She is nervous yet anticipating a winning competition. Stephanie, watch out!
Long term goal—Donna hopes to return to her home town and offer professional wellness services including nutrition, massage and yoga. In addition—she wants to have six boys—“Not girls,” she says. “I couldn’t take all the drama.”
Donna will be creating drama enough on Hollywood Fantasy. Make sure you follow her progress at www.BallroomFantasy.com as she prepares for the competition the first week in November.
